Aurora New York, NY 2016
Aurora is a series of crystalline structures designed for the Facebook NYC offices that as a whole resembles cluster of clouds. Whereas clouds are often thought of a soft, the faceted geometry of Aurora produces a softness through how light and color bounce off the lower half of each cluster. The lower half of the lightweight cardboard structures are clad with a color filtering film. These panels changes color depending on the angle the light bounces from as well as the angle it is viewed from. Each element of the structure is unique always making the reflection of color unexpected. This effect creates a new horizon in the space that is made of a landscape of color.
